Recover your career - join the Revenue team at RVC
The primary purpose of the role is to be a pro-active member of the team, to provide a high level of customer service to the community and control the recovery of outstanding debt. To ensure the rates, water, sundry debtors of Council are in line with the Council’s delivery and operational plans as well as legislation.
Key Accountabilities:
- Monitor, process and deliver effective debt recovery for Council, including administering pensioner rebate applications, Council certificates, notice of sale information, change of addresses and payment arrangements.
- Provide advice to the community by researching, analysing, and evaluating rating issues and legislation to develop solutions that drive organisational performance.
- Communicate with key stakeholders, including the Valuer General, Property NSW and provide support through an understanding of policy and procedures and resolve technical issues relating to revenue services.
- Prepare and process documentation and reports associated with revenue in accordance with legislative requirements, policy and procedures.
- Assist in raising of Annual Levy, Supplementary Land Valuations, Permissible Workpapers, Re-Valuation of Land as directed by the Revenue Coordinator.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and services provided by the role and team to ensure the effective, efficient and safe delivery of objectives.

A motivated individual with strong administration skills and proven experience in debt recovery. You are accountable for day-to-day tasks and can evaluate and prioritise conflicting responsibilities. You continuously look for ways to provide the best outcome for our community and your integrity shows in your decisions. You are flexible, adaptable and responsive to change and can work well within a small team and autonomously.
We are seeking someone who has or is willing to obtain:
- Certificate IV in Finance or equivalent AND four years’ experience in a related environment
- Class C Driver Licence

Full time: 70-hour fortnight
Salary: Range from $70,179 to $80,704 pa + 12% super
