Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated capacity to work effectively as part of a team.
- Administration skills including a knowledge of computer software programs such as Microsoft Office.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with teachers and students.
- Ability to perform tasks in one or more of the following areas: office procedures; accounting procedures; sick bay; hospitality and /or design and technology; science.

Fairvale High School is located in Fairfield West and has an enrolment of 1320 students (co-educational and comprehensive), including 94% of students from language backgrounds other than English. The school is multicultural with the predominant cultural groups being Vietnamese, Arabic and Assyrian. There are 318 (24%) students who are identified as coming from a refugee background and twenty-six (2%) students of Aboriginal background, with a total of 81 (6%) students in the Special Education Unit. The school has seven Special Education classes consisting of three Autism, three Mild Intellectual Disabilities and one Moderate Intellectual disability.
This position will be primarily working in the Hospitality and Food Technology department within the school.
