Site Operations Coordinator needed!
Employment Type: Full-Time Contract
Location: Surry Hills (NSW) however the job would require managing NSW and QLD employees and projects
Reports To: National Operations Manager
Salary: $80,000 to $85,000 per year
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Site Operations Coordinator to support the planning and delivery of residential construction projects in the Sydney and Queensland area. Working closely with our carpenters, site supervisors, other tradespeople, and project managers, this role ensures the efficient execution of new home builds, renovations, and multi-unit developments. The Site Operations Coordinator is instrumental in coordinating site scheduling, and ensure BD's employees are working efficiently and compliant with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage schedule of employees and contractors
- Coordinate the delivery and scheduling of materials, subcontractors, and inspections.
- Assist in managing daily construction site activities to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
- Supervise and liaise with residential trades to ensure safe and efficient work.
- Maintain and update project documentation including daily logs, site diaries, and progress reports.
- Monitor site safety and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
- Support the preparation of construction cost estimates and work programs for residential projects.
- Assist with obtaining permits, approvals, and inspections relevant to residential builds.
- Act as a point of contact between clients, suppliers, and employees/contractors during all phases of the build.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in residential construction preferred.
- Diploma or Associate Degree in Building and Construction (or related field) preferred.
- Familiarity with local building codes, residential construction methods, and safety practices.
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent planning and coordination skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage employees, contractors and liaise with clients.
- High attention to detail with the ability to identify and solve on-site problems.
- Good working knowledge of construction management tools and software.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple residential builds concurrently.
Licensing / Requirements
- Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Current Driver’s Licence.
