GameFace is on the hunt for vibrant, skilled, and camera-ready Sports Commentators to bring local football and netball games to life! As part of our dynamic team, you’ll call the action with enthusiasm, conduct pre- and post-game interviews, and add personality to our coverage. We’re seeking commentators across Melbourne, including South East and Mornington Peninsula.
Responsibilities
- Game Commentary: Deliver dynamic, insightful, and engaging play-by-play and color commentary for football and netball games.
- Interviews: Think outside the box to create memorable pre- and post-game interviews with players, coaches, and fans.
- Professional Conduct: Maintain a respectful tone and ensure all comments are appropriate—steering clear of remarks on personal appearance or anything offensive.
- Energy & Presence: Bring excitement and personality to every game—no monotone allowed!
- On-Camera Performance: Be confident, articulate, and engaging in front of the camera.
Requirements
- An understanding of AFLgameplay.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to think quickly and provide entertaining and insightful commentary.
- Experience in live broadcasting or on-camera work is a major advantage.
- Comfortable conducting interviews and interacting with people on the spot.
- Must have an energetic, approachable, and professional demeanor.
- Own ABN and Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license.
- Availability on weekends and after hours.
Contract Details
- Game rate: $40ph depending on experience and location.
- Work is primarily on weekends and outside standard business hours.
