Reporting to the Director Partnerships and Specialised Services, the Team Leader Peer Workforce role requires demonstrated knowledge of contemporary Peer Work practices to lead the Lived Experience (Peer) workforce; ability to liaise and consult with stakeholders and provide effective engagement; and the skills to manage a diverse consumer/carer identified workforce through operational and professional supervision.

Key Responsibilities include:
Provide high-level advice to the Director of Partnership and Specialised Services, senior management, and other stakeholders on Mental health Lived Experience (Peer) support activities, including strategies to meet service needs and community expectations as well as compliance with all procedures, organisational policies, regulations, and standards.
Lead and manage Lived Experience (Peer) staff members by fostering and committing to safety and quality in the delivery of health care by maintaining and evaluating safety and quality practices and initiatives, including performance appraisals, and developing the workforce as per local, state, and national strategies and frameworks.
Engage and collaborate with stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and ensure a Lived Experience perspective is incorporated into decision making to influence the planning, service delivery, evaluation, research partnerships and outcomes for consumers, carers, and the community.
Contribute to research and development strategies that enhance Sunshine Coast MHSS capacity to respond to mental health issues, overseeing initiatives that promote social inclusion and a recovery-focused service.

Salary between $4651.70 - $4982.80 p.f, employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (A06) (Temporary position available for three months with possibility of extension). Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be a person with lived experience of mental ill-health, service use and recovery (identifies as a mental health consumer, carer, or both)
