Sunshine Coast Health is a values-based organisation. We are committed to the maintenance of a culture in which we treat our colleagues with respect as we do our patients, consumers and the community. We respect, protect and promote human rights in our decision-making and actions.

Key Responsibilities include:
Provide high-level advice to the Director of Partnership and Specialised Services, senior management, and other stakeholders on Mental health Lived Experience (Peer) support activities, including strategies to meet service needs and community expectations as well as compliance with all procedures, organisational policies, regulations, and standards.
Lead and manage Lived Experience (Peer) staff members by fostering and committing to safety and quality in the delivery of health care by maintaining and evaluating safety and quality practices and initiatives, including performance appraisals, and developing the workforce as per local, state, and national strategies and frameworks.
Engage and collaborate with stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and ensure a Lived Experience perspective is incorporated into decision making to influence the planning, service delivery, evaluation, research partnerships and outcomes for consumers, carers, and the community.
Contribute to research and development strategies that enhance Sunshine Coast MHSS capacity to respond to mental health issues, overseeing initiatives that promote social inclusion and a recovery-focused service.

Salary between $4651.70 - $4982.80 p.f, employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (A06) (Temporary position available for three months with possibility of extension). Applications will remain current for the duration of the vacancy. Please note: only applications from candidates will be accepted (applications that may result in an agency fee will not be considered).

Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be a person with lived experience of mental ill-health, service use and recovery (identifies as a mental health consumer, carer, or both)
