About the OPPORTUNITY -
We have a great opportunity for a Test Support Officer to join our Defence Delivery team, specifically working as part of the Nulka Program based full time onsite at Orchard Hills, NSW - Defence Establishment. You will be reporting to the Site Lead and Maintenance Manager.
You will be working with a team environment where your role will be responsible for conducting preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
Your core tasks and activities will include:
- Routine and corrective maintenance
- Completion of maintenance records to comply with AMO requirements/standards
- Certification of maintenance activities
- Assembly of commissioning aids and cable forms
- Support of component selection and material acquisition through procurement activities
- Acceptance testing
- Fault diagnosis
- Stock management and control - supporting the warehouse and materials coordinators
This role will see you:
- Conduct Operational Maintenance including Preventative and Correct Maintenance
- Undertake electronic/electrical equipment requirements analysis and participate in requirements reviews
- Undertake the integration and validation of the electronic/ electrical equipment design including contributing to the integration and validation plans and reports
- Support electronic/ electrical equipment qualification activities to ensure that the product meets all requirements including safety and regulatory requirements
- Utilise appropriate design capture and analysis tools effectively to enable design tasks to be completed in a timely manner
This team operates 5 days per week on site and working hours are 7am to 3pm with some overtime expected in work surges.
About YOU
- Electronic and/ or electrical engineering advanced diploma or associate diploma or equivalent experience including Certificate IV in Electronics
- Experience designing basic electrical/electronic equipment, contributing to design reviews, performing standard design analysis, and delivering hardware solutions including integration, testing, and validation
- Efficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications and general IT systems
- Strong regard for safety, security and quality
- The ability to work with some ambiguity as processes are updated and developed
- Experience working in the defence industry is highly regarded, similarly, experience in Explosive Ordnance (EO) would be preferred but not mandatory
- At minimum, a current NV1 Clearance or ideally NV2 Clearance - mandatory
- Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic in Arms (ITAR) regulations
- Eligibility to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
