About the role
The Timetabling Support Officer is key to managing the operational needs of academic delivery and space utilisation. In this role, you'll be responsible for coordinating both internal and external room bookings to ensure all teaching spaces across campuses are used efficiently.
Working closely with Timetabling Coordinators and other stakeholders, you will support the development, delivery, and ongoing updates of academic timetables for both Ikon and ALG. The role requires strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and collaborative communication to successfully align timetables with student needs, staff availability, and institutional goals. You will use systems like Excel, Wisenet, and RTOM to manage all data, scheduling, and reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing system changes
- Internal room booking and documenting
- External room booking and space hiring
- Documenting change requests
- Monitoring class capacities through reporting
- Progression mapping for ALG and Ikon
- Pre-allocations and in System allocations
- Balancing classes
- Cleaning report data
- Enrolling students
- Managing and updating various spreadsheets
- Zendesk ticket responses
- Other tasks as reasonability directed by the General Manager Student Services and Registrar
Education, Experience & Skills
- Qualification in relevant field
- Previous experience in the education sector mandatory, preferably in a timetabling/scheduling role.
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of requirements associated with regulatory frameworks, including the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021, Standards for RTO’s 2015, and the National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2018.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office365
- Positive attitude and ability to think creatively and bring innovation to EDU and its subsidiaries
- Cross cultural awareness
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work autonomously and in a team
