War Memorial Hospital – Waverley, Eastern Suburbs NSW
This is a rare opportunity to lead Work Health & Safety at one of Sydney’s most iconic and beautifully located hospitals – War Memorial Hospital in Waverley – in a part-time capacity (3 days per week).
As our dedicated WHS Business Partner, you’ll be based onsite at War Memorial Hospital and work closely with executive and frontline teams to shape and support a proactive, preventative safety culture. You’ll provide expert WHS and injury management advice, lead incident investigations, coordinate safety systems, and help deliver safer outcomes for staff, patients, and visitors alike.

As the WHS lead for the War Memorial Hospital site, you’ll:
- Coach and support leaders on WHS strategies and compliance
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate emergency preparedness and fire response systems
- Deliver WHS training and build safety capability across the site
- Review and update safety policies and procedures in line with legislation
- Support injury management and return to work planning
- Use data and digital tools to monitor, report, and improve safety outcomes
- Qualifications in health or safety (e.g., Cert IV or above in WHS)
- 3+ years of experience in WHS or a related field
- Tech-savvy approach – confident using Microsoft Office, safety systems and digital platforms
- Strong communication, investigation, and coaching skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
