Join our team as an Accounts Resolution Officer
Are you passionate about using your problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills to help resolve outstanding accounts and support positive financial outcomes for the community? If so, we invite you to apply for the Account Resolution Officer position at Redland City Council!
Your responsibilities will include:
Collecting outstanding debts in line with legislation, policies, and KPIs.
Working with debtors to resolve accounts through payment plans, hardship assessments, or legal processes.
Managing property recovery actions such as sale or transfer of land.
Processing and reconciling legal, court, and recovery-related fees.
Responding to customer enquiries and maintaining accurate records.
Supporting team operations, sharing knowledge, and helping improve procedures.
Skills and experience:
Strong customer service skills with a professional and confident telephone manner.
Proven ability to negotiate and resolve sensitive or complex debtor issues.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with high attention to detail when recording customer information.
Experience in debt collection (preferred but not essential).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
Ability to work effectively in a focused, fast-paced team environment and meet tight deadlines.
