- Full-time PERMANENT Position (76 hours per fortnight), located in the heart of South Brisbane
Ideally, we’re looking for someone to step into the TEAM LEADER role within our high performing team, reporting to the AP Manager.
About the Role
We have an exciting full-time permanent opportunity to join our supportive and collaborative team at our head office in South Brisbane on a Monday to Friday basis. Working as a Team Leader with 10 Accounts Payable Officers in the team, reporting into the AP Manager, you will be responsible for the full accounts payable function, including high volume, accurate invoice processing and monitoring of expenditures, payments, and reconciliations. The Team Leader also supports ongoing projects across Icon’s various entities and leads by example.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Perform day to day activities for Accounts Payable processing and associated tasks in a timely and accurate manner
- Ensure integrity of data entry and vendor payments
- Process and prepare settlement of inter-company vendor groups
- Process payment obligations on behalf of Group Payroll and Tax
- Prepare, coordinate and review of payment runs
- Process EFT, BPAY , International Money Transfers and Foreign Exchange payments
- Attend to all escalated AP queries promptly and professionally
- Collate payments and liaise with treasury to ensure timely availability of funds
- Monitor and report on compliance with Group DOA expenditure limits
- Ensure that all Accounts Payable processes are documented and reviewed regularly for improvement
- Assist in the establishment and maintenance of internal audit controls
- Development of relevant exception reports for reporting on performance of key Accounts Payable activities and take appropriate action where required
- Safeguard the privacy of key stakeholders and the confidentiality of records
- Comply with all Icon Group policies and procedures
About You
We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented leader with strong experience in high-volume accounts payable environments. The ideal candidate will bring over five years of AP and leadership experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multinational shared services setting.
Key Requirements:
- Tertiary Qualifications in the accounting field and/or demonstrated skills/experience in Accounts Payable will be highly regarded
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role with leadership experience
- Solid Accounts Payable experience in a shared service, fast-paced, multinational organisation
- Proven ability to prioritize workload and forward plan to ensure work and information is complete and commitments are fulfilled
- Intermediate computing skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage high workloads with conflicting priorities and deadlines.
- Accuracy and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise in a high volume and fast paced work environment.
