About the role
As an Accreditation Officer, you'll play a key role in assessing qualifications for teacher accreditation in NSW and ensure applications are processed accurately, efficiently and in line with relevant legislation and policies. This is a great opportunity to contribute and make a real impact in an area that values precision and good judgment.
On a daily basis you will:
- Assess teacher accreditation applications, ensuring compliance with the Teacher Accreditation Act, Manual, and mutual recognition procedures
- Verify documents and evaluate qualifications against Australian Qualification Framework levels, subject content requirements, and Australian Government advice
- Guide staff on application procedures and accreditation requirements
- Liaise with higher education institutions, registration authorities, government agencies, and teacher employers
- Investigate and respond to enquiries related to qualification assessments
- Support the preparation of reports, briefings and correspondence
- Contribute to data collection and analysis for accreditation administration
Our ideal candidate will bring:
- A strong understanding of teacher registration/accreditation legislation and policy
- Experience using technology to enhance service delivery and keep pace with evolving processes
- Proven ability to manage shifting workloads, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with higher education qualifications, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, databases and records systems
