About us:
Central Queensland Specialist Palliative Care in Aged Care (CQ SPACE) project aims to improve access to specialist palliative care, improve palliative and end-of-life care to residents of aged care facilities, in their place of choosing and avoid unnecessary hospitalisation. This initiative comes under the Australian Government's Better Quality of Care - Comprehensive Palliative Care in Aged Care Measure to support older persons living in Residential Aged Care Facilities. CQ SPACE is intended to support people at end-of-life residing in all accredited Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACs) public and private, and Multi-purpose Health Services (MPHS) with dedicated RACs beds in the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service catchment area.
About the role:
Provide effective, efficient, and comprehensive administrative support including general duties such as answering phones, reception, photocopying, scanning, faxing, stock ordering and typing general correspondence.
Use computer-based systems with a high-level quality of data entry, basic word processing and basic use of spread sheets.
Establish and maintain strong working relationships to effectively communicate within the team and other units within CQHHS to ensure a high standard of service is provided at all times.
Have a strong focus for patient/client care and expectations with a demonstrated ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team, utilise high level communication, problem solving and negotiation skills with limited supervision.
Use of Queensland Health and CQHHS clinical information systems and databases, e.g., Patient Information Systems (HBCIS, The Viewer and Dragon Medical Workflow Manager).
About you:
Proficiency in contemporary computer software applications, particularly HBCIS, The Viewer, Dragon Medical Workflow Manager, Microsoft Office, Outlook and calendar applications.
Well-developed interpersonal skills and written communications skills which reflect the ability to liaise effectively, diplomatically and discretely at all levels of the organisation and with other government and non-government agencies, community organisations and members of the public.
Proven ability to work within a team in a diverse and complex environment to achieve objectives within specified timeframes and in accordance with defined practices and procedures.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $19,531 p.a. is comprised of:
An hourly rate between $38.81 - $43.16 p.h.
