About the Opportunity
Fairfield Hospital is seeking motivated, proactive and adaptable high quality Administration Officers to join our Casual pool. This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience while providing essential administrative support across various departments of the hospital, including Emergency, Switchboard, Outpatient Clinics and other key areas.
In this role, you’ll assist with tasks such as managing appointments, handling enquiries, record management, maintaining accurate and timely data entry, supporting department workflows and delivering exceptional customer service to patients, staff, and visitors. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation of hospital services, committed to teamwork whilst upholding confidentiality and professionalism in a challenging environment.
We are looking for candidates with strong organisational, time management and communication skills, a keen eye for detail, availability to work flexible hours, remain calm under pressure, and the ability to work effectively in dynamic, fast-paced environments. Prior administrative experience, particularly in healthcare settings, will be highly regarded.

What You'll be Doing
To support the administration operations of Fairfield Hospital by providing exceptional customer service as the first point of contact for all patients, visitors and staff, and undertaking a range of clerical tasks in an efficient and effective manner.

- Demonstrate your ability to plan, prioritise and organise work activities and demonstrate your strong attention to detail with a very high level of accuracy when working with a range of computer and electronic systems and processes.

- Demonstrate listening and questioning skills applied to a customer service environment and your ability to work independently and as a team member to achieve quality service outcomes
- Demonstrate your ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities as this environment is requiring an ability to work a 24/7 day rotating roster including nights, weekends, public holidays and extra shifts at short notice.
