Position: Casual Allied Health Assistant (Speech Pathology)

This opportunity is ideal for a final year speech pathology student.
Job Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized therapy plans tailored to clients' specific needs and goals.
- Assist with the delivery of therapy programs for children with a range of communication needs (e.g., speech sound delays, language delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder, developmental delay, AAC support).
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of client progress notes.
- Help facilitate group sessions as directed by supervising clinicians.
- Provide guidance and support to clients and their families, empowering them to actively participate in therapy sessions and carry over strategies at home.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of client progress notes.
- Administrative duties such as session preparation, therapy resource development, responding to emails from parents, answering phone calls.
What we are looking for:
- Currently studying Bachelor of Applied science (Speech Pathology) (preferably in their fourth year).
- Prior experience working with children, specifically with additional needs preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Drivers license and own vehicle
- Current Working With Children’s Check
- Fluent in English; multi-lingual applicants highly regarded
- Saturday availability for receptionist work in clinic (5 hour shift), Weekday seeing clients mobile/in clinic

Expected hours: 3 – 8 per week
