AOD Pre and Post-Rehabilitation Worker

Full time
Create safe pathways of healing for women and children in a trauma-informed, culturally responsive environment.
At Elouera Women’s Residential Service , we provide a safe, supportive, and inclusive rehabilitation environment for women aged 18 and over. We prioritise access for women with children, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, pregnant women, and those from rural and regional communities across NSW. Children are welcome to reside with their mothers, recognising the importance of keeping families connected during recovery.
We are currently seeking a compassionate, skilled, and resilient AOD Pre and Post-Rehabilitation Worker to join our medium-sized, multidisciplinary team located at the tranquil residential property just outside Orange, NSW. You will support women as they enter and transition from our program, helping them build safety, stability, and readiness for long-term recovery.
Your Role: Supporting Entry, Strengthening Exit
This full-time, on-site position involves delivering trauma-informed, person-centred individual and group-based supports. You will work closely with clients to assess readiness, coordinate care, and ensure safe, supported transitions into and out of the service.
You don’t need to be an AOD specialist, but experience in community services, mental health, or related fields is essential. Most importantly, you bring an authentic commitment to empowerment, dignity, and holistic wellbeing for all women and their children.
What You’ll Bring:
  • Experience supporting people through trauma-informed, strengths-based approaches
  • Skills in client intake, screening, risk assessment , and care planning
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with diverse individuals and families
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills that are clear, respectful, and adaptable
  • A calm, emotionally intelligent approach to challenging or high-stress situations
  • Confidence with record-keeping, electronic client systems, and reflective documentation
  • Strong time management, autonomy, and the ability to prioritise in a dynamic setting
  • Driver’s Licence and Working with Children Check or the ability to obtain this.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as Social Work, Psychology, Alcohol and Other Drugs, Counselling, or Community Services are highly regarded.

To be female is a genuine requirement for the position under Section 31 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW) and Section 30 of the Sex Discrimination Act 1984 (Cth).

Why Join Lives Lived Well?

  • Access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you and your family
  • Salary packaging options to boost your take-home pay
