Based at Burleigh Heads, as a Pre and Post (Residential Treatment) Worker you will work closely with our Mirikai residential treatment facility and to enable smooth ,client transitions both with intake and exiting clients, which include ongoing post-service client care.
This is a part-t ime (1 days per week ), fixed term role until June 30 2026. The days of work are flexible and will be discussed with the successful applicant.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Work with the Mirikai team and clients for entry to the residential facility.
- Provide recommendation for entry to Mirikai, based on the results of assessment, screening and risk assessments.
- Work closely with the Team Leader to maintain and grow the occupancy of the service, managing enquiries, assessments, admissions and client demand.
- Play an active role in the development of transition plans to support effective person-centred service delivery, particularly when supporting admission and discharge of clients from residential treatment. Ensure continuity of care by effectively transitioning clients in and out of residential treatment utilising skills and expertise in multidisciplinary teams and effectively negotiating and advocating for client support needs with other health care providers.
The salary range for the role is gross $47.50 - $49.65 per hour + super, depending on skills, knowledge and experience.

You will be able to meet the following key selection criteria:
- Applied knowledge in contemporary evidence-based drug and alcohol clinical practice.
- Experience conducting client comprehensive assessments with demonstrated capacity to make sound decisions regarding outcome of these assessments that support clients access to appropriate treatment.
- Demonstrated expertise in residential treatment service delivery with a sound knowledge of the potential risk elements specific to this type of environment.
- Experience working with client data management systems and competent with Microsoft suite.
- Demonstrated experience in managing relationships with key external stakeholders developing and maintaining referral pathways.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage own workload.
- Highly developed communication and community engagement skills.
