Assistant Communication Officer
- Location Parramatta with flexibility to work from other office locations
- Ongoing full-time opportunity (35 hours per week)
- Salary Clerk Grade 5/6 - $99,398 to $110,271 + superannuation and leave loading
Your role
This role is part of Homes NSW, which leads housing and homelessness services across NSW. We are seeking a communications all-rounder to coordinate and deliver communications to inform and inspire audiences about the important work we do.
What you’ll do
Working within the Public Affairs and Engagement team, the Assistant Communications Officer will be responsible for:
- Creating communication materials on a range of topics, promoting Homes NSW priorities and communicating key messages.
- Coordinating production of content across
- Drafting and developing communication strategies and plans that bring our mission and values to life.
- multiple channels, including written materials, images, video, and audio.
- Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders to identify opportunities for collaboration.
- Monitoring and evaluating communications to measure engagement and continuously improve our approach.
- Supporting the greater team on projects or at events as required.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for a communications professional with a can-do attitude and a passion for developing clear and creative communications materials. You will have experience in translating complex information into engaging content that connects with diverse audiences. You will bring a collaborative approach, attention to detail, and a passion for sharing stories that make a difference.
The ideal will also have:
- Demonstrated experience producing communication materials end-to-end across a variety of channels.
- Proven ability to engage and collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Experience working across multiple communication platforms.
- Ability to work with key suppliers such as graphic designers, videographers, and printers.
