Due to growth, we are looking for an Assistant Development Manager looking to progress their career in our growing Land Leased Communities team in Brisbane.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting position that will have you driving project performance by engaging with key stakeholders to ensure the projects are delivered in accordance with the project vision and agreed outcomes.
Supporting experienced Development Managers and Senior Development Managers, this is a diverse and rewarding role that will see you develop your skillset across a range of asset types.
The role is a unique opportunity to work in a high profile and strategic sector for Stockland, with the projects incorporating elements of land, built form and commercial development. These over 50’s lifestyle communities are typically comprised of freestanding homes, clubhouses and recreational facilities (pools, bowling greens, etc.)
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Development Manager to ensure the Project is scoped, designed and delivered in accordance with the business strategy, agreed vision and target profitability levels
- Support project delivery to ensure schedule, revenue and cost objectives are met;
- Assist with driving the sales and marketing activities to achieve the business plan objectives;
- Assist with the management of design development and review against relevant design standards;
- Assist with engagement of internal and external stakeholders, including authorities;
- Assist with control and monitoring of development budgets and financial reporting;
- Assist with monitoring progress on site, participate in site meetings and monitor actions out of these meetings;
- Assist with monitoring market and competitor activity to maintain competitiveness.
About You
- Degree qualified in a related discipline with prior relevant experience in planning, property, development or construction and/or extensive relevant experience;
- Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter;
- Demonstrated experience in achieving customer focused outcomes;
- Basic knowledge of procurement processes and contract administration;
- Ability to ask the right questions to achieve desired outcomes;
- Developed stakeholder management and influencing skills;
- Resilience and excellent communication skills;
- Commercial acumen.
