Join the Strategy, Planning and Resources team as a Business Administration Officer, where you'll play a vital role in supporting the provision of business administration services to stakeholders within the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music. In this dynamic role, you'll gain valuable experience in academic casual contracting, independent contractor agreements, vocational placement arrangements, and academic recruitment administration. Additionally, you'll contribute to strategic workforce planning processes and support the development of administrative self-serve capabilities across the faculty .
Your responsibilities will include:
Academic Administration: Support academic casual contracting, independent contractor agreements, vocational placement arrangements, and academic recruitment processes.
Policy and Compliance: Provide advice on financial, human resources, and general administration policies and procedures related to contracting within defined business rules.
Systems and Training: Contribute to the development and maintenance of local systems, providing training to relevant staff to ensure compliant planning and contracting processes.
Stakeholder Support: Respond to general administration inquiries, triaging stakeholders to University Shared Services when appropriate , and maintaining relevant communication channels.
Business Partnering: Support the development of administrative self-serve knowledge and capabilities across the faculty , facilitating evidence-based decision-making and collaborating with subject matter experts.
Planning and Projects: Contribute to workforce planning processes, particularly for casual staff, and participate in allocated project activities within the team and across Faculty portfolios.

You may also:
Possess a relevant qualification in business administration or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
Demonstrate a track record of delivering business administration services with a high level of attention to detail.
Exhibit strong business partnering skills and a commitment to client service and continuous improvement.
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey information clearly to diverse audiences.
Demonstrate sound analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills, with a capacity for flexibility, agility, and innovation.
Exhibit strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines under pressure.
Be proficient in using a range of technology tools and have the ability to quickly learn new business systems.
