About the role

We are currently looking for a Business Concierge Officer to join our exciting Invest Melbourne branch.

Operating in a complex and political environment, this role requires exceptional verbal and written communication skills to engage a broad range of external stakeholders. Communication must be clear, timely, and tailored to achieve outcomes and meet diverse stakeholder needs.

The role involves high external engagement and relies on strong relationship-building, persuasion, and negotiation skills to influence outcomes.

The Business Concierge Officer independently plans and manages their workload, using initiative and a proactive approach, while escalating non-routine matters as needed. The ability to quickly access and apply information across multiple tasks and clients is essential.

What your experience might look like

  • Degree and/or equivalent qualification or experience in business, program management, communications or engagement, or other relevant experience.
  • An understanding of and strong commitment to customer focused principles and systems and excellence in delivery of customer service.
  • Understanding of economic and industry sectors highly desirable
  • High level written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner to a wide audience.
  • Excellent relationship building and management skills and the ability to deal with a diverse range of stakeholders and managing expectations and needs.
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills, with ability to juggle competing demands whilst being responsible for ensuring all matters are handled in a timely, professional manner with stakeholders informed of progress as appropriate.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to think creatively, innovatively and strategically and conceptually to identify obstacles, consider multiple perspectives and distil complex information to create viable options that address future requirements.
