The Collaborative Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing is a Victorian public entity led by a unique Co-CEO partnership and governed by an independent skills-based Board who report to the Minister for Mental Health. In partnership with people with lived and living experiences, our core purpose is to translate evidence into innovation and effective practice and collaborate with the workforce and researchers towards our common goal of driving groundbreaking change to Victoria's Mental Health and Wellbeing system.
About the role: This position requires in-office presence five days per week at 205 Queensberry St, Carlton.
The Victorian Collaborative Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing (the Collaborative Centre) is seeking a proactive and adaptable Business Support Officer to provide comprehensive administrative and operational support across the organisation. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the office, supporting multiple teams, and contributing to a positive and professional workplace culture.
The Business Support Officer plays a key role in maintaining a professional, inclusive, and welcoming environment, supporting efficient office operations, effective governance and stakeholder engagement, and seamless coordination of executive priorities and organisational activities. The role contributes to continuous improvement of administrative systems and processes, fostering a culture of collaboration, efficiency, and responsiveness.

About you:
  • Demonstrated experience (1–3 years) in administrative support, reception, customer service, or office coordination roles.
  • Well-developed administrative and organisational skills, including the ability to coordinate multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a dynamic work environment.
  • Demonstrated capacity to manage competing demands while upholding a high standard of work.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing high-quality front-of-house, or administrative support within a professional setting. Respond to enquiries in a timely, respectful, and customer-focused manner and present a professional and approachable first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Demonstrated experience working with people who have a past or current lived experience of mental ill-health or psychological distress is preferable.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and respond to emerging issues or demands in a calm, professional, and solutions-focused manner. Comfortable working in dynamic environments and adjusting work plans to meet operational needs.
