The Star Brisbane is Australia’s newest entertainment hub at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct. The first phase is now open, with more venues and experiences on the way. The Star Brisbane offers a variety of new dining, bars, and unique entertainment options. It also includes a five-star luxury hotel, The Star Grand, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre.

This transformational project has brought even more excitement and anticipation to burgeoning Brisbane. It will redefine how people play, shop, and socialise in the river city.

The Cellar Team Leader, reporting to the Operations Manager, will provide leadership in all areas of the cellar, ensuring an effective, efficient and safe operation to support the environment on a day to day basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity where you can put your skills and knowledge to the test to deliver a thrilling new era for hotels in Brisbane!

A few of your responsibilities

Liaise with internal and external resources to ensure that cellar and postmix supplies, availability and delivery are in accordance with business requirements.

Maintain a high level of product knowledge and promote effective communication by ensuring that all co-workers maintain the same level of knowledge.

Lead pre/post shift briefings to assist with the smooth transition and handover between shifts, thereby avoiding interruption to or jeopardising the quality of service.

Monitor and control the operation of all automatic drink machines throughout the property

What we will be looking for

Current forklift license

Previous experience in a people management role (highly advantageous)

Sound computer skills
