What You'll be Doing
The Clinical Coder is responsible for the accurate and timely coding of inpatient episodes of care, in accordance with the Australian coding standards and other relevant documents. Other responsibilities include maintaining ethical
coding practice and participating in quality activities.

  • Completion of a recognised ICD-10-AM coding course or relevant Tertiary Qualifications in Health Information Management (with a clinical coding component).

  • What is your understanding of a DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) and how this relates to clinical coding?
