What You'll be Doing
The Clinical Information and Records Supervisor is primarily responsible for the supervision of Clinical
Information Officers who undertake duties associated with maintaining Medical Records (paper, hybrid and electronic) including medical record scanning.

This position supports the Clinical Information Department in the provision of a high quality service in the management of medical records. The position supports and assists management with staff training, workflow management, monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators, audits and quality improvement, reporting writing and liaison with internal and external stakeholders.

Liverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south-western Sydney, offering a wide range of state-wide services including critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care, and brain injury rehabilitation. As a key teaching facility for UNSW Sydney and Western Sydney University, it provides extensive clinical services, including emergency care, cancer treatment, paediatrics, and mental health services. The hospital features 23 operating theatres and has a capacity for 877 beds.

The ongoing $830 million redevelopment as part of the Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct is transforming the hospital into a global hub for medical innovation. This redevelopment will expand clinical services, enhance research and teaching facilities, and introduce state-of-the-art equipment and amenities.

  • Demonstrated extensive knowledge of medical records procedures, preferably with experience in a Hospital setting including Document Imaging using Cerner ProVision Document Imaging (CPDI) or similar scanning application.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time appropriately, prioritise workloads and work within specified timeframes.
  • Demonstrated experience in the supervision and motivation of staff including training, time management, productivity, quality, and workplace health and safety.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform tasks in a methodical manner with attention to detail, with the ability to show initiative and problem solve.
