Job Title: Communications and Marketing Adviser
Job Summary:
You'll be at the heart of bringing Visy's voice to life—whether that's through internal updates, digital campaigns, or keeping our employees and stakeholders in the loop with what matters most. From big-picture strategy to hands-on content creation, you’ll be driving communication that’s clear, engaging, and aligned with our values.
Visy is powering the circular economy, closing the loop between packaging, remanufacturing and recycling. Over 75 years, we've grown to 7,000 employees and 150 global operations – predominantly in Australia and New Zealand.
We believe materials are not recycled until they’ve been made into new products. We collect and sort recyclable materials like paper, cardboard, glass, plastics, and metals from households and businesses, and locally remanufacture them back into new, sustainable packaging. From cardboard boxes, water bottles, and jam jars to food and beverage cans, we are using recycled content to power Australia and New Zealand’s food and beverage packaging industry.
Role details:
We're on the lookout for a creative and energetic Communications and Marketing Adviser to join the team on a 6-month contract and based in Southbank. If you're someone who can juggle content generation, website updates, social media content, and internal comms, this might be the gig for you!
What you’ll do:
Key responsibilities include:
- Crafting and rolling out marketing and communication strategies that hit the right note—internally and externally.
- Creating content across a mix of platforms: social media, intranet, email campaigns, websites, and more.
- Collaborating with teams across the business to keep messages consistent and aligned with Visy’s mission.
- Helping to build and maintain our employer brand—making Visy a place people are proud to work.
- Playing a key role in keeping our internal comms clear, engaging, and purposeful.
What you will bring to the team:
- Strong communication skills —storytelling and strategy.
- Experience in marketing, internal communications, or digital content.
- A collaborative spirit who enjoys working with people from all corners of an organisation
- The ability to translate complex messages into plain English.
- A willingness to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in—whether it’s writing a newsletter or brainstorming a new campaign.
