Your next career opportunity
As a Communications Officer in the School of Biomedical Sciences, you'll have the opportunity to develop and deliver targeted multichannel communications campaigns. You'll work closely with leading researchers, crafting their stories for public engagement and enhancing student belonging. This role offers you the chance to utilise your expertise in digital marketing, content creation, and stakeholder management in a dynamic academic environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and Execute Communications Campaigns: Plan and deliver effective multichannel communications strategies to meet key project objectives and timelines.
  • Create Engaging Content: Produce high-quality materials across various platforms, including print, online, media releases, video, and podcasts.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with subject matter experts to develop compelling stories and presentations for diverse audiences.
  • Manage Digital Presence: Create and publish content for the School's website and social media channels, liaising with Faculty/UOM social media teams.

You may be a great fit if:
You are a dedicated communications specialist with strong writing skills, digital literacy, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders to achieve impactful communications outcomes.

You may also:

  • Possess a relevant tertiary qualification in communications or a related field.
  • Have experience in journalistic writing for both academic and general public audiences.
  • Demonstrate expertise in digital marketing and analytics across various channels.
  • Excel in producing concise and applicable management reports and insights.
  • Show proficiency in business analysis reporting platforms and creative software.
  • Thrive in both team-based and independent work environments.
