About the Role
This a Fixed Term Position – 12 month
The Council Contracts Delivery Officer, based within the Maintenance Delivery Division, is responsible for overseeing and administering municipal road maintenance agreements between the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) and local councils across the Grampians and Loddon Mallee regions. This role also provides support to the VRMC for the same regions when needed. Key responsibilities include approving works, managing budgets and financials, overseeing the delivery of maintenance activities, and ensuring effective contract management.

- Contract Execution – Has provided professional expertise to ensure the successful execution of the Municipal Road Maintenance Contracts, and that they provide best value and quality in line with relevant legislation and quality standards.

- Effective Risk Management – Has applied well developed commercial management skills to manage and mitigate risk (safety, environmental, scope, financial, time and reputational) in accordance with DTP Risk Framework during the administration and management of contracts.
- Promote and support safe, inclusive and flexible team operations.

Qualifications and Experience
Mandatory
- Contract management experience and in resolution of complex contractual claims.
Desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, law, or commerce.
