We’re Hiring: Rockstar Office Administrator
Part-time hours on a casual basis | 20–26 hrs/week | $27/hr + Super | Work-from-Home Flexibility | Sydney- NSW-Based
Do you thrive in organised chaos, bring calm to stormy inboxes, and make people feel heard and understood, no matter how stressful the day?
We are a fast-paced, heart-led family contact service working in the child protection field. We're on the lookout for a proactive, emotionally intelligent Office Admin All-Rounder to help us stay sharp, responsive, and kind under pressure. You’ll be replacing our much-loved admin, so we’re only looking for someone equally dependable, warm, and on the ball.
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Keeping our small but mighty team running like clockwork
- Smoothly coordinating day-to-day admin and logistics
- Scheduling daily contact visits, intakes, and staff interviews
- Responding professionally to client and staff calls and emails
- Maintaining up-to-date records (yes, accurate spelling matters!)
- Proofreading and polishing reports and formal correspondence
- Bringing great energy and a can-do attitude to our team
We’ll Love You If You:
- Write and speak beautiful, professional English
- Answer the phone like a calm, confident adult—even under pressure
- Experienced in scheduling and rostering
- Are organised and reliable (you double-check, not guess!)
- Can manage sensitive situations with empathy and maturity
- Are quick-thinking and solution-focused
- Take ownership of tasks without needing hand-holding
- Know your way around Sydney suburbs and can pronounce them correctly
- Can answer texts/calls at least 3 weekends per month to support our field staff
- Genuinely align with our values: Honesty, Respect, Empathy, Responsibility and Accountability
- Can take feedback well and answer respectfully if your work is questioned
If you can do this even better:
- Background in Family Law, Psychology, Child Protection, DV or Coercive Control
- Experience using Xero, Canva, and Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
- Can create simple, clean social media posts
Pay & Hours:
- $27/hour + Super to start (yes, we review performance for pay raises!)
- Stable hours: 20–26 hours/week to begin, some weeks can be more
- Must be available:
- Monday: 9am–5pm
- Wednesday: 9am–2pm
- Thursday: 9am–2pm
- Friday: 9am–5pm
- School pick-up? We’re flexible—as long as the work gets done on time.
If you’re looking for a higher rate immediately, this role may not be the right fit. We respect your time—please respect ours. Prove you’re the right person, and we’re happy to talk about pay review after 6 months' probation.
