Help us deliver a better tomorrow
Australia Post is delivering for all Australians. From the vehicles that we drive, to the small businesses that make our communities thrive. We’re delivering for the environment, for our communities, for our customers and for our people. We’re moving forward and we want you to come along for the ride.
Help us deliver like never before
We're hiring for a Data Analyst to join our Customer Data & Insights team within our Marketing Technology team. You'll play a key part in delivering high quality data, reporting, and insights that support the performance and strategic direction of our digital assets, including our website, app, and customer portals.
As a Data Analyst, working with stakeholders both within Marketing Technology and across the business, you’ll play a key role in supporting our digital asset product teams by delivering accurate, high-quality data primarily from our Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You’ll build strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders to better understand their evolving needs and objectives. Using tools like Excel and Tableau, you’ll respond to data requests efficiently through our Jira ticketing system. You’ll ensure compliance with Australia Post’s data governance policies, maintaining the integrity and security of customer data.
This is a great opportunity to deliver impactful data insights, build strong stakeholder relationships, and support the growth of our digital platforms, all while ensuring data integrity and governance.
This is a 12-month fixed term opportunity.
What you’ll deliver with us
- Provide accurate and timely data support to digital asset product teams.
- Respond to data needs from stakeholders across the broader Enterprise Services team.
- Assist the Senior Manager in managing and delivering within allocated Enterprise Services cost budgets.
- Champion a "One Team" mindset, prioritising enterprise and customer needs over individual agendas.
- Ensure customer impact and experience are central to all business decisions.
- Build strong communication and relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicate business and enterprise information clearly and promptly.
About You
You’re a proactive and detail-oriented data professional who thrives in both team environments and working independently. You’re confident managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines, and you bring a strong track record in stakeholder engagement. Your communication style is adaptable, allowing you to connect effectively with a range of audiences. With a customer-first mindset and a can-do attitude, you’re highly organised and skilled at building strong working relationships. You have hands on experience using SQL to extract data from Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and you understand the importance of data governance.
You’ll also bring
- Proven experience supporting enterprise systems and applications in live, business-critical environments.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
- Skilled at building relationships and interfacing with technical teams, business stakeholders, and third-party service providers to ensure seamless operations.
- Hands-on experience supporting implementation teams during system upgrades and deployment cycles, ensuring minimal disruption and smooth transitions.
