This role is in the DroneShield Sydney headquarters in Sydney CBD. There are approximately 320 staff based in the 4,000sqm facility today, scheduled to grow to approximately 400 staff by end of 2025. Overseas on the ground presence includes USA, Denmark, Mexico, and UAE, as well as distributors in over 70 countries globally.
About the role
The team is expanding and is looking to recruit a Data Entry Officer whose responsibilities will be critical in supporting a fast-paced Warehousing team, whilst helping the business run smoothly during its next phase of growth. The position will report primarily to the Warehouse Manager and will be working very closely with the greater Supply Chain & Logistics team. This position is an exceptional opportunity for an individual with a desire to develop their career in a fast-growing ASX defence technology company.
Responsibilities, Duties and Expectations
Support the Inventory & Warehousing Team with:
- Office administration
- Assisting with inventory data migration to a new ERP system
- Accurately entering data related to stock and inventory records
- Support stock take processes through data input and verification
- Processing of outbound dispatch events within the ERP system
- Create labels and signage for warehouse inventory
- Filing and documentation sorting
- Preparation of documentation for data entry and scanning
- Contribute to training materials and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a fast-paced team
- Strong ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and handle pressure
- While some experience (1-3 years post education) is helpful, this role is also open to graduates.
