Join the vibrant team at Groundswell Brew & Bottle, a unique venue located in the heart of the Food Innovation Precinct at Peel Business Park, Lakes Road, Stake Hill. We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Duty Manager to lead our team, oversee responsible alcohol service, and contribute to creating an exceptional guest experience in a hub of culinary and business innovation.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and motivate a small team to deliver outstanding customer service in our cafe and bottle shop.
- Ensure compliance with liquor licensing regulations and uphold responsible service of alcohol (RSA) standards.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and maintain hygiene and record keeping standards.
- Operate independently during quiet periods. Able to make coffee and other beverages, prepare food including, toasties, cakes, muffins, and pizzas.
- Manage daily operations, including stock control, cash handling, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
- Engage with guests to showcase our locally crafted beers, coffee, chocolates, and other food and beverage products.
Who We’re Looking For
- Essential Qualifications: Valid Unrestricted Approved Manager card, RSA certificate, Food Safety Supervisor, and Food Handlers certificate.
- Experience: Proven experience as a duty manager or supervisor in a hospitality setting, with barista and bar attendant skills.
- Passion: A genuine interest in coffee, chocolate making, and local food and beverage products.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and manage a team effectively.
- Availability: Flexible to work daytime shifts (no late nights), including weekends as needed.
