Northerlies Beach Bar & Grill, an absolute beachfront venue in the gorgeous Whitsundays, is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Duty Manager for an immediate start.
You will provide essential support to the Venue Operations Manager and the F&B team. The Duty Manager assists with the coordination and daily operations of the venue, whilst managing the food and beverage team in a fun and upbeat atmosphere. You ensure the venue is running like a well-oiled machine even through the crazy times!!
Some of the things you'll do…
- Supervise the team to ensure Northerlies standards and steps of service are met through all guest’s interactions.
- Lead by example by working on the frontline during peak trading times.
- Ensure that all operating procedures are being followed each shift.
- Communicate effectively and provide clear direction to staff.
- Training and performance management of the F&B team.
Who you are…
- An energetic, calm, measured, people person.
- Someone with a hands-on approach spending the majority of their time on the floor assisting front-of-house staff.
- Experience in all elements and execution of opening and closing a venue/restaurant.
- Customer-focused - passionate about interacting and building rapport with guests.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- A genuine desire to learn and grow with us.
- Have strong people management and communication skills.
- Available to work days, evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Pay: $67,678.00 – $80,145.00 per year

Experience:
- Hospitality Management: 1 year (Preferred)
- Restaurant/Bar: 3 years (Required)
