Raytheon Australia works closely with the Australian Defence Force as its trusted capability partner to deliver some of the most complex and ground-breaking engineering and technology projects in the country.

Since 2011, Raytheon Australia have been contracted to deliver facilities services in support of the Harold E. Holt (HEH) Defence Precinct in Exmouth, Western Australia. Home to the Space Surveillance Telescope (SST), the C-Band Radar and Very Low Frequency (VLF) radio transmission capability, together these systems add a critical contribution to Australia's space domain awareness and battlespace awareness missions.

Right now, we are experiencing rapid growth and are seeking bright and energised Electrical Fitter to join our inspired team on a fixed term basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to safety requirements and develop job safety analyses for specific tasks.
• Conducting planned and reactive maintenance on high-voltage electrical infrastructure
• Liaise with shift employees to co-ordinate downtime preventive / corrective maintenance activities.
• Follow the Lockout / Tag Out process when required.
• Plan and record work tasks in the asset / maintenance management system.
• Provide technical advice as required.
• Provide on-the-job training for other staff.
• Manage stores and order equipment, parts, and items.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology – Electrician, minimum of four years of post-trade experience.
• HV Switching Operator (HVSO) certification.
• Certificate IV in Electrical Instrumentation (desirable)
• Electrical License issued by the Electrical Licensing Board of Western Australia.
• Strong working knowledge of high-voltage electrical systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• “C” class driver’s license.
• Candidate must be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Eligibility can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/ag with ability to satisfy ITAR material access compliance.
