About the role
We’re on the lookout for a licenced Electrical Inspector to join our team in a full-time, permanent role based out of our Tullamarine depot.
You’ll be at the forefront of ensuring compliance across Jemena Electricity Distribution Network and required to participate in the on-call roster.
Key Responsibilities include
- Attend to customer phone calls and enquiries, assisting with compliance issues related to rules, regulations, standards, and policies
- REC consultation regarding switchboard and SLD drawings, metering and supply arrangements
- Site meetings with customers and project managers
- Assist Network Connections team with all metering and connection or customer project queries
- Support the Dispatch and Control Room with Faults and Emergencies
- Provide technical guidance to internal staff and electricity professionals
- Attend, investigate and issue customer defect notices
- Investigate customer complaints regarding defects in relation to metering and servicing appointments
- Work with customer relations with investigations, finalisation and closing of defects issued to customers
- Facilitate and complete customer connections to the network
- Timely completion of works activity records and other work-related documentation using digital work platforms.
About You
If you have strong technical expertise, hands-on experience, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement, we want you on our team.
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring a solid understanding of regulatory requirements of the ESA, ES(G)R’s, VSIR’s, AS3000, AS2067, AS3010, AS5033, AS5139 and VESI ISTC procedures, electricity distribution assets, along with proven skills in inspection, customer service, stakeholder engagement and ability to work autonomously or closely within a team environment.
- Exercise sound judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria to resolve complex issues in a creative and effective manner in order to meet customer and client objectives for the agreed work through the application of approved governance
- Ability to prioritise workloads in a fluid environment
- “A” Grade Electrical Licence
- “G” Class Electrical Inspectors Licence (V Class endorsement highly desirable)
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
- ESI Worker Card
