The role
Reporting to the Group Manager Future Workforce, the Engagement and Capability Lead is responsible for implementing organisation wide learning events and initiatives to enhance employee performance and engagement.
You will use data-driven insights to develop and deliver initiatives that enhance South East Water’s employee experience, culture, and workforce effectiveness.
You will embed values and behaviours into all aspects of the employee life cycle, including culture, employee engagement, Employee Value Proposition (EVP), continuous listening and our workspaces.
While no two days are the same in the Engagement and Capability Lead role, you can expect to undertake some of the following activities:
- Design and deliver workshops and focus groups
- Deliver organisation-wide learning initiatives that align to our capability framework
- Project manage initiatives which improve our culture and employee experience
- Crafting written materials focused on employee experience, culture and capability
- Network and collaboration to keep abreast of contemporary Learning & Development and Organisational Development best practice
This role is offered as a 12-month max-term parental leave cover.
Who are you?
The preferred candidate will hold demonstrable experience leading organisational development initiatives within a large and complex organisation. With the ability to consult, negotiate and influence across levels of stakeholders, you’ll also hold the following skills and attributes:
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Project management capabilities
- Well-developed analytical and data interpretation skills
- High level of commercial acumen and organisational savvy
- Accreditation in individual and team profiling tools is desirable

This role is remunerated at a Level 5, which is between $115,748 and $122,323 + super and offers are commensurate with the successful candidates' experience.
