Who We’re Looking For
Are you a passionate and dedicated Educator ready to take the next step in your career? We’re looking for someone who is eager to support and inspire both children and educators as an Assistant Coordinator at Kids United OSHC.
In this role, you’ll be a key player in assisting our Coordinator with overseeing daily operations and supporting our team of educators. You’ll help ensure that our programs meet all regulatory requirements, maintain the highest standards of care, and provide engaging, educational experiences for children. By working closely with educators, families, and the broader community, you’ll contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

Hours of Operation:
- Before School Care: 6:30 am – 9:00 am
- After School Care: 2:30 pm - 6:30 pm
- Vacation Care: 7:00 am - 6:30 pm
Key Responsibilities as an Assistant Coordinator:
- Assist in the delivery of high-quality, educational, and engaging programs.
- Support compliance with National Regulations.
- Help implement the National Quality Standards effectively.
- Assist in designing programs that align with the 'My Time Our Place' framework.
- Foster positive, productive, and respectful communication and engagement with children, families, and team members.
- Support the Coordinator in serving as the responsible person on site.
- Assist in identifying and responding to children and young people at risk.
- Support the development and well-being of children in your care.
- Help with administrative tasks and attend regular management meetings.
- Supervise children to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Assist with light cleaning duties and food preparation.
- Participate in monthly staff meetings.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience in OSHC or Childcare.
- Certificate III or Diploma in Children's Services or OOSH (preferred).
- Ability to support and motivate your team.
- Demonstrated honesty and integrity.
- Experience with 'Kidsxap' or similar software.
- High-level technology skills and abilities.
- Experience working with children with disabilities.
- Quick-thinking and decision-making abilities.
- Willingness to learn and grow in the role.
- Valid Working with Children Check for paid employment.
- Recent Police Check (less than 6 months old) or willingness to obtain prior to starting.
- First Aid certificate (including CPR, anaphylaxis, asthma management, and emergency first aid in an education and care setting) or willingness to obtain prior to starting.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and engagement skills.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
