THE ROLE
The Executive and Business Support Officer provides executive management support to the Deputy Secretary and provides a pivotal point of contact for key stakeholders. The Executive and Business Support Officer will lead the provision of high-quality executive and secretarial support services for the Deputy Secretary and the Office of the Deputy Secretary, including managing the Deputy Secretary's calendar and email inbox, coordinating workflow across the division and undertaking a range of discreet and confidential tasks and projects.
The position requires a high degree of autonomy, excellent attention to detail, ability to quickly resolve problems, demonstrated understanding of government processes and the ability to form and maintain positive working relationships. Day to day there is a strong focus on managing competing priorities and delivering service excellence within a fast-paced environment.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Provide high quality executive assistant services including managing Deputy Secretary's calendar, email correspondence, travel arrangements, and the timely coordination of meeting briefs and papers.
- Operate with a high-level of integrity, confidentiality and autonomy in managing communication between the Deputy Secretary, key stakeholders and the community.
- Provide a range of effective executive support functions, including providing secretariat support for senior executive meetings, divisional meetings, events, and committees.
