The Opportunity – Growth and Engagement Manager (Education Partnerships)
As a Growth and Engagement Manager within Medibank’s Overseas Partnerships team, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic growth across the education sector.
This role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, externally focused environment where your commercial acumen, relationship-building skills, and strategic thinking will directly contribute to long-term growth and impact.
How you will create value
You will lead partnership acquisition and engagement strategies, using your expertise to add value to Medibank by:
- Continue to drive thought leadership in international student health and wellbeing through innovative programs and research
- Advocating for international student wellbeing across the organisation and identifying cross-functional collaboration opportunities.
- Leading acquisition strategies and supporting Relationship Managers to optimise pipelines and drive commercial outcomes.
- Designing and executing revenue-generating strategies with KPIs tied to acquisition, retention, and upsell opportunities.
- Representing Medibank at external forums and events to elevate visibility and influence.
- Strengthening existing relationships through initiatives such as the Industry Engagement Program and health and wellbeing collaborations.
About you
You are a commercially minded professional with a strong background in business development and strategic partnerships, ideally within the education sector or a closely aligned industry. You bring a proactive, network-oriented approach and a deep understanding of the international student ecosystem.
Key skills and experience include:
- Proven experience in partnership development and commercial growth.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strategic thinking and market intelligence, with the ability to translate insights into measurable outcomes.
- Deep understanding of international student flows, visa policies, and recruitment dynamics.
- Proficiency in data analysis, ROI tracking, and CRM tools.
- Strong project management and cross-functional coordination capabilities.
- Existing relationships with institutional and government bodies in international education.
