About the role
The Team Manager, Engagement leads a high-performing team to design, deliver and evolve TAC-led engagement programs that connect meaningfully with Victorian road users. Working with government agencies, local councils, businesses and advocacy groups, you will ensure our initiatives, including the Vanessa Youth Program, Pause Stop, and integrated motorcycle safety programs, are aligned to the TAC’s strategy and make a tangible impact.
This is a role with significant opportunity for growth, ideal for someone with the motivation and experience to contribute to the future direction of TAC’s engagement efforts, and the ability to bring others along for the journey.
About the Team
You will join the Marketing, Sponsorships and Engagement branch within the Community division, who are committed to engaging, educating, and influencing the Victorian community, stakeholders, and our people to ensure the TAC is trusted, empowers our people, fosters a safety-first road culture, and supports delivery of the best outcomes for our clients.
You will lead three direct reports (with scope for the team to grow) who value collaboration, lean into each other’s expertise, and are passionate about making a difference. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing, Sponsorships and Engagement you will be supported and empowered to work autonomously whilst having an open line for guidance and advice when needed.

Proven People Leader
You have demonstrated experience leading and developing teams, acting as a coach and mentor while fostering an environment of learning, growth and shared success. You lead with positivity, sound judgement and a collaborative mindset.
Relationship Builder & Engagement Specialist
You bring well-developed relationship management skills, with experience building and maintaining complex internal and external partnerships to deliver shared outcomes. You will bring solid experience in community engagement and the delivery of strategic engagement plans – relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
Commercial & Strategic Thinker
You have strong business acumen, with the ability to apply financial governance and procurement knowledge to oversee significant contracts and programs. You are structured and organised in your delivery, while remaining adaptable to changing priorities.
