Chairo Christian School is a non-denominational Christian school with 1,900 Kinder to Year 12 students attending five picturesque campuses in West and South Gippsland, the Latrobe Valley and the south-eastern outskirts of Melbourne.
Our mission is to provide excellence in Christ-centred education in partnership with families within a caring Christian community. In doing this, we aim to prepare students thoroughly for further study, careers, service and life in general.
We are currently seeking the services of a dedicated Human Resources Officer to commence in Term 3 this year. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a caring Christian environment and support the Human Resources Manager to ensure smooth and efficient processes within the HR Department.
Key responsibilities will include:
- providing a godly example to students and fellow staff members through their practice, manner, relationships and general lifestyle;
- communicating and corresponding with staff members;
- maintaining accurate and up-to-date employment records;
- maintaining the HR system database, including monitoring and adjusting system workflows;
- assisting in reviewing and enhancing HR processes and procedures; and
- provide broad HR administrative and operational assistance as required.
Having obtained relevant experience in HR administration, the successful candidate will also possess the following important characteristics:
- Demonstrated commitment to the school’s Statement of Faith
- Qualifications in HR administration (desirable)
- High standard of computer literacy, including MS Word and Excel
- Friendly and professional demeanour
- Excellent people skills and communication skills
- Capacity to provide a satisfactory Police Check and Working with Children Check
