Do you have a background in HR but a career that has steered into risk? Or are you in non-financial risk and keen to have the challenge of standing up a new role in a HR function?
We’re looking for a passionate and hands on HR Risk and Governance Manager (internally known as Business Controls Officer) to join our Human Resources team. This is a unique opportunity to drive the uplift of risk maturity across HR in a comple, regulated, and globally connected environment.
Our HR team supports employees throughout their journey with us. From payroll and talent acquisition to remuneration, data management and international mobility. We partner with our offshore hubs and outsourced vendors to deliver seamless, compliant, and people-focused services. We’re evolving how we work - and strengthening our risk muscles is a key part of our journey.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain and uplift the HR Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA).
- Drive the design, testing, and management of HR non-financial risk controls.
- Lead the charge on uplifting the HR team’s approach and thinking on risk, the use of tools and adoption of relevant frameworks
- Support HR contract and process owners in meeting governance and compliance requirements.
- Leverage data to inform decisions and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years in Line 1 Risk within Australian Financial Services. Proven e
- perience in HR, risk, compliance, or obligation management.
- Understanding of non-financial risk frameworks and regulatory environments. Eperience supporting the uplift of capability across a team with your subject matter e
- pertise
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused mindset. E
- cellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative approach.
