We currently have an opportunity for an ICT Operations Manager at the Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) in Melbourne. This role is five days a week on site at the hospital, owning maintenance and support of the Downer’s operational technology onsite. Join our Business Technology and Health & Education teams to play a key role in managing and optimising ICT operations. Reporting to the Operational Technology Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.
What You’ll Do
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
- Leading the day-to-day ICT operations to ensure service excellence and compliance with performance standards.
- Manage and maintain onsite ICT infrastructure, including servers, storage and network systems, to ensure operational continuity.
- Provide technical support for RCH systems, leveraging internal and vendor resources where needed to facilitate highly available solutions.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to align ICT services with evolving business and client needs.
- Implementing and maintaining ICT governance, policies, and best practices.
- Offer guidance and advice to the local Downer contract team regarding ICT systems and be the key technical contact for ICT aligned projects.
What You’ll Bring
- Demonstrated capability delivering Level 3 technical support, with expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex ICT issues.
- Strong background in vendor engagement, including contract management, service delivery oversight, and issue resolution.
- Proven experience in managing and/or supporting IT infrastructure projects, including planning, execution, technical delivery and stakeholder coordination.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with Operational Technology environments, including building management systems and security systems, is highly advantageous.
