Your Impact
As an Inclusion Professional, you will support early and middle childhood services to embed inclusive practices that welcome and support all children. You will work alongside educators to identify strengths and areas for growth, help develop Strategic Inclusion Plans (SIPs), and provide coaching and access to resources to build educator’s capacity and capability.
Key responsibilities
Building respectful, collaborative relationships with services and educators
Working professionally with stakeholders including KU, Include Me, Gowrie Inclusion Agency, and leadership teams
Using the KU Inclusion Support Framework to assess service capacity and guide support strategies
Supporting services in reflective practices and continuous improvement through the development of Strategic Inclusion Plans (SIPs)
Educating and coaching educators on inclusion and inclusive practices
Developing innovative resources and facilitating activities that challenge thinking and promote inclusive practices
Assisting services in reviewing or developing inclusive philosophies, policies, and practices
Connecting services with relevant information, resources, and community organisations
Supporting educators to partner with families and early intervention professionals
Helping services navigate sector changes and adapt accordingly
Responding to reasonable requests from your line manager as required
About You
We’d love to hear from you if you:
Hold a diploma or higher qualification in early or middle childhood education
Have experience working in inclusive services or early childhood or school-aged care settings
Understand inclusive practice, child development, and the National Quality Framework
Have strong communication and relationship-building skills
Can coach and guide educators through change and reflective practice
Hold valid compliance certificates (e.g. WWCC, Child Protection, First Aid etc.)
