About the Business Unit:
Hopkins Correctional Centre is a 720-bed medium security prison facility for sentenced male offenders located within the Grampians Region, focused on preparing prisoners for their transition back into the community.
The industries team plays a crucial role within Hopkins Correctional Centre by coaching, mentoring, and motivating prisoners and placing emphasis upon individual offender management with a view to rehabilitation.
About the Role:
The Industry Administration Officer role includes completing basic correspondence, coordination, and minute taking for events and meetings, maintenance of a range of electronic information and filing systems, maintaining databases, reporting, and performing account functions.
Some of your duties will include:
- As part of the Industry and Training team and under supervision, providing a range of high-quality, confidential and efficient administrative services and support to the Industry Manager and team
- Undertaking a range of administrative functions including word processing, data input and management and the maintenance of various records, registers, and returns
- Participating in continuous improvement activities, including the development, maintenance and updating of computerised office systems and procedural statements/manuals.

About You:
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in or understanding of working within a Correctional environment (desirable).
- The ability to seek resolution of problems through policy or process guidelines, otherwise seeking guidance by providing information and ideas relevant towards resolution of problem.
