JOB : Injury Management Strategist – Social Worker

As an Injury Management Strategist – Social Worker, you will apply your clinical and social work expertise to support individuals recovering from injury, helping them navigate complex systems and return to meaningful activities. You’ll manage diverse portfolios across various insurance and government schemes, including workers’ compensation and motor accident claims.

Essential Criteria:
- A degree in Social Work or a related discipline, with eligibility for membership with the AASW (Australian Association of Social Workers) or other relevant professional body.
- Strong understanding of injury management, rehabilitation processes, and psychosocial factors affecting recovery.
- Industry experience (minimum 1 year preferred), although new graduates with strong clinical placements are encouraged to apply.
- Second language skills (e.g. Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese) are highly regarded but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver injury management services across various jurisdictions (e.g., CTP, WorkCover, Comcare, Life Insurance).
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop tailored injury management and return-to-work strategies.
- Liaise effectively with insurers, employers, unions, and treating professionals to facilitate recovery and rehabilitation.
- Prepare high-quality reports with clinical recommendations to support case progression.
- Monitor and review recovery plans, ensuring optimal outcomes for clients.
