Intelligence Reporting & Insights Officer (Temporary Opportunity up to 7 months)

You have strong analytical and communication skills, expertise in evidence gathering, problem solving, negotiation and conflict resolution, and the ability to interpret policies and functions to provide high-quality support and advice.
In this role, you'll:
Develop and manage the Security, Crisis & Emergency Management (SCEM) Intelligence Collection Plan.
- Monitor, collect, and analyse internal and external security incident data to identify trends, risks, and vulnerabilities.
- Provide strategic and tactical intelligence insights to support business operations and other government agencies.
- Deliver executive-level reporting and intelligence products to inform decision-making and enhance enterprise security.
- Maintain and update intelligence datasets within the Transport Emergency, Crisis Coordination Hub (TECCH).
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis to align incidents with policies and procedures, identifying key security insights.
This position is a fixed-term opportunity until March 2026 with a possibility of extension.
This team is currently enjoying a hybrid way of working in line with the base office located at 231 Elizabeth Street, Sydney and is evolving in line with Transport's policies for workplace presence.

About you
You’re a motivated and detail-oriented professional with previous experience in a similar role involving intelligence, insights, or data analysis.
You bring a strong analytical mindset and a solid background in working with data. You're comfortable interpreting complex information and translating it into clear, actionable insights.
You excel at stakeholder engagement, with the confidence to work across diverse teams and external partners.
You're adept at working with different types of data and have the ability to extract key themes, identify trends, and produce meaningful summaries that support strategic decision-making.
This role requires someone who’s hands-on and not afraid to get into the details.
While a background in law enforcement or security-related fields would be advantageous—we welcome candidates from a variety of industries who can demonstrate relevant experience and capabilities.
To be eligible for this role, you must meet the requirements of the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) and be able to maintain a minimum Baseline security clearance.
This role is hybrid-friendly, meaning you can mix in-person days at your team’s home base location with remote days.
