About the Role
You’ll be responsible for operating and maintaining Council’s Jet Patcher, inspecting roads, and supporting the construction and maintenance of road networks. Your tasks will include:
- Safe and efficient operation of the Jet Patcher for road repairs
- Regular maintenance and cleaning of plant to ensure operational readiness
- Conducting daily inspections and hazard reporting
- Completing traffic control plans and maintaining accurate work records
- Applying emulsion sealing techniques and ensuring proper use of PPE and traffic management gear
Salary and Benefits
- Salary Range: $1,249.44 – $1,456.42 per week (depending on qualifications and experience)
- 12% superannuation

What We’re Looking For
You have:
- Experience with road construction and maintenance
- Demonstrated skill in plant operation (Jet Patcher)
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks
- Clear communication and reporting skills
- Positive team attitude and ability to work independently
- HR Class Driver Licence and White Card
- Australian residency or valid work visa
Bonus points if you also have:
- Traffic Control (‘Blue’ and ‘Yellow’ cards)
- First Aid Certificate
- Competencies for Roller, Skid Steer, Loader or Backhoe
- Certificate III in Civil Construction (Plant Operations)
