Position Overview
As an NDIS Key Worker, you will serve as the primary point of contact for individuals living with disability and their families. Your role is central in coordinating services, building trusting relationships, and supporting participants to work toward their NDIS goals. You’ll collaborate with therapists, support workers, and external stakeholders to deliver strengths-based, person-centred support.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main liaison and advocate for NDIS participants and their families.
- Coordinate and implement individualised support plans aligned with participants’ goals and NDIS funding.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Guide participants through their journey with the NDIS and connect them with appropriate supports.
- Maintain accurate and timely case notes and documentation in accordance with NDIS and organisational standards.
- Facilitate regular reviews and participate in team meetings to discuss progress and planning.
- Ensure participants understand their rights and can exercise choice and control over their supports.
Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
A tertiary qualification in one of the following areas:
- Allied Health (e.g. Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy)
- Social Work
- Psychology
- Early Childhood Education
Experience & Skills:
- Previous experience working with people with disabilities or in a community-based support role.
- Strong understanding of the NDIS framework, person-centred planning, and the key worker model.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and work with diverse families.
- Ability to coordinate services effectively and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficient in using client management systems and maintaining accurate records.
Compliance Requirements:
- Current Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance
- Valid Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle for community visits
Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 8 per week
