The opportunity:

The Logistics Assurance & Risk Specialist leads the rollout and standardisation of risk management across logistics and fleet operations. They work closely with leaders, teams, and experts to tackle system issues, resource use, and process gaps. By keeping risk registers updated and providing clear insights, they help guide decisions and drive ongoing improvements, boosting efficiency, data management, and service quality.

  • Set up and standardise risk management for logistics and fleet to handle issues quickly.
  • Work with teams to identify risks and suggest fixes.
  • Lead checks to ensure risk practices are followed and find ways to improve.
  • Help leaders manage risks like data, capacity, and system problems.
  • Be the main contact for risk management and keep leaders informed.
  • Keep risk lists updated with any issues.
  • Collaborate with IT, Finance, and Procurement on risk in system upgrades.
  • Guide improvements to reduce risks around systems and data.
  • Regularly review operations for risks affecting service or costs and report to leaders.
  • Work with safety teams to align safety changes with operations.
  • Ensure compliance with Heavy Vehicle National Law (Queensland) and risk standards.

The people you'll join:

Located in Narangba, this role reports to the Team Leader Operational Performance and Systems as part of the Warehousing and Logistics Group.

What you'll bring:

Strong knowledge of risk management in logistics, fleet operations, and business continuity. Experienced in operational risk assessments and maintaining risk registers. Skilled in leading assurance programs.


Able to work well with technical experts and stakeholders to manage risks. Good communication skills to explain complex risks and advise leadership. Familiar with safety, environmental, and compliance rules, including handling dangerous goods and biosecurity. Understands change management and how to include risk management in improvements and strategies.


Analytical thinker who spots process gaps and develops risk mitigation plans. Experienced with compliance frameworks and designing assurance programs.


Essential
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field or a lesser qualification coupled with equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management
